Font Changes Style

All the fonts that I have downloaded have successfully downloaded onto my computer except for one. Of coarse, it is the one that my friend wants me to use on her wedding invitations. When I download the font called York Script...it seems to change style once I open it. Once opened it changes into a 'block' type of font instead of script. Can anyone think of why this would happen & how I can stop it from happening. BTW...I even tried downloading it from another site and the same thing happened...it looks like a block font once I open it.
