The famous Columbia Pictures is an American film production and distribution studio. In 1918, it was originally founded as “Cohn-Brandt-Cohn Film Sales”. In 1924, its name was changed to “Columbia Pictures” which was derived from “Columbia”. The Map of Columbia is used as the studio’s screen logo.

Bank Gothic font has been used for the printed logo of the studio. It is a geometric sans-serif typeface which was designed by Morris Fuller Benton.
